Delay of New Campus Opening

Good Afternoon, DVS Families!

As you may have read in the letter from Dr. Wunder today, our new campus won’t be 100% ready for us to move in before opening day on August 22nd (you can read the letter by clicking on this link: http://douglasat201.org/delay-in-new-high-school-building-opening).

Because of this, we’ll need to start the school year on our current campus and then move in to the new one sometime during first semester when it’s all ready to go.

While this is certainly a disappointing inconvenience, it’s nothing we can’t handle together as a school family. We will be working hard to get our current campus ready to kick off the 2017-2018 school year on Tuesday, August 22nd. We can’t wait to welcome our students back!

This historic year will certainly be an adventure and there will never be another one like it – and there’s no other group of staff, students and families I would rather be with on this journey.

If you have any questions, please email me at swallis@davincischools.org and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Sincerely,

Steve

*Note: We will begin the school year with our NEW schedule, which is shifted 20 minutes earlier. Classes begin at 8:40am and end at 3:35pm on Mondays-Thursdays, and go from 9:40-3:35 on Fridays.
